Two Second Half Goals Lift USC Past Ducks

img_3427gLightening struck twice early in the second half for USC to give the Lady Trojans a 3-1 win over the Oregon Ducks Thursday afternoon at Pape` Field.

The loss kept the Ducks winless in the Pac-12 at 0-2-0 while USC stayed perfect at 2-0-0.

A first half penalty kick left Oregon trailing at midpoint 1-0. Just 42 seconds into the second half Sydney Sladek converted for USC; twenty-nine seconds later so did Morgan Andrews, both on assists by Leah Pruitt.

Sofia Chambers and Taylor Kuroda connected for Oregon’s only goal in the 76th minute. The goal was the first of the season for Kuroda.

With an overall record of 6-4-1, the Ducks return to Pape` Field Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm, hosting the UCLA Bruins.
