As the Oregon Ducks prepare for their 2020 home opener at Jane Sanders Stadium on Friday afternoon, only a pair of late-inning losses – one of them to 15th-ranked host Oklahoma State suffered last weekend – tarnish what has been an exceptional early season run for Melyssa Lombardi’s squad.
After starting the season with 16 straight victories after back-to-back losses to Louisville and the Cowgirls, Oregon closed out the weekend with a 2-0 win over the University of Illinois – Chicago then headed back to Eugene to open the home season with the Oregon Invitational tournament before starting Pac-12 play next week at California.
Oregon (17-2) will face Seattle University (8-12) in the first half of a double dip beginning at 3:30 pm, followed at 6:00 against Loyola Marymount (11-8).
Saturday will be a full day of softball at The Jane with Seattle and Loyola-Marymount getting the festivities underway at 10:00 am followed by a matchup between Portland State (5-15) and Loyola Marymount at 12:30 pm. Oregon takes the field at 3:00 pm to play Seattle once again, then will face the Vikings in the 5:30 pm nightcap.
Sunday morning Seattle will tangle with Loyola-Marymount first at 9:30 am followed by Portland State then the Ducks and the Vikings will close out the four team tournament when they square off at 3:30 pm.
All of the games will be available on the Oregon Live Stream at goDucks.com.
