Eleven games into her sophomore season, Oregon’s Sabrina Ionescu now holds the Pac-12 record and is tied for the NCAA mark in triple-doubles after the Ducks’ point guard shredded Ole Miss with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists for her seventh career triple dip.
The Ducks were never in trouble against the over matched Rebels, jumping to a quick 9-2 lead and racing to a 46-24 halftime lead.
Ruthy Hebard joined in the festivities with her third double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds in only 23 minutes of action as head coach Kelly Graves emptied his bench early and often in the Ducks’ last home non-conference appearance of the season. All five Oregon starters reached double digits in scoring with Satou Sabaly hitting for 12 points and Lexi Bando and Maite Cazorla each adding ten.
Oregon shot 50% from the floor on 38-76 and out rebounded the visitors from the SEC 51-29. With 58 points in the paint, 21 second chance points and 16 points off turnovers, the Ducks took the Rebels to task across the floor.
The win lifts Oregon’s season record to 9-2 and will conclude the non-conference slate with a pair of games in the Duel in the Desert in Las Vegas. The Ducks open action on Thursday at 12:00 pm against Texas A&M then wrap things up against Hawaii’ on Friday, also at noon.
Pac-12 play will open after the Christmas break with the Ducks hosting Washington State on Friday, Dec 29 at 3:00 pm, followed by Washington on Sunday at 1:00 pm.
